An NYSC member was arrested after he robbed a woman of her car and other possessions
Babatunde Asemoyebun, a serving member of the NYSC serving in Gboko Local Government Area of Benue State, has been arrested.
He was arrested for robbing a woman of her car, mobile phones and a huge sum of money, on August 13, 2015, while dressed in his full uniform.
According to reports, the NYSC member had waylaid the woman in the GRA area of the town as she was driving into her compound and robbed her of her possessions while armed with a gun.
After the robbery, the woman called the police to report the attack and the police swung into action, alerting all the units in the state.
One of the Safer Highway Patrol teams mobilized and went after the lone robber and intercepted him at Akpagher village.
In his possession were a black toy gun, the victim's mobile phones, cash, head mask and his NYSC identification card. He was handed over to the State Criminal Investigation Intelligence Department (SCIID).
