Some notorious armed robbers and cultists have been caught by men of the Nigeria Police in Benue State.

Men of the Nigeria Police have finally caught some suspected armed robbers and cultists that have been terrorizing Benue state people today.
 
This was made public in a statement released by the Police command, The Force received a distress call on Tuesday 8th of August, that some criminals were attacking and dispossessing innocent members of the public of their phones(GSM handsets) at Logo I area of Makurdi metropolis.
 
The Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) operatives on patrol responded immediately to the distress call and got a 23-year-old Emmanuel Ifeanyi who belongs to the Red Confraternity, arrested at the scene.
 
While trying to escape, he led the operatives to his accomplice, 26-year-old Monday Joseph, aka “Mad Dog”- a self confessed Cult hitman of the Reds Confraternity involved in several cult related killings and robbery in Makurdi.
 
 
Knives, six (6) handsets, a locally fabricated revolver pistol with five (5) rounds of live ammunition and assorted charms were recovered from them.
 
Further investigation led to the arrests of 28-year-old Chimezie Ekeke, 15-year-old Sonter Joshua and 27-year-old Hashimu Abdullahi, all male of Awe Street and Logo 1 areas of Makurdi.
 
They would be charged to court as soon as investigation is concluded.
