A two-week ultimatum has been given to the President Muhammadu Buhari-led administration over the current ASUU strike which is persisting despite negotiations.

Following the ongoing strike by the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU), the National Association of Nigeria Students (NANS) on Tuesday staged a peaceful protest in Abuja.

The student body also in a letter addressed to President Muhammadu Buhari and signed by its National President, Comrade Kadiri Aruna, called for immediate resolution of the lingering ASUU crisis among others.

Speaking further, Kadiri said the student body is giving the both parties two weeks ultimatum to resolve the issues and for ASUU to call off the strike or face a nationwide protest by the students.
