The President Muhamamdu Buhari-led federal government has approved of the release of N2 billion for the take-off of the Maritime University in Delta State.

Nigeria's Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo has on Tuesday, announced the approval of the release of N2 billion for the take-off of Maritime University, in Okerenkoko, Delta State.
 
He made the disclosure in Ondo State while presiding over the 2nd National Council on the Niger Delta, as well as hold Niger Delta New Vision (#NDNewVision) engagements.
People present at the meeting include; Ondo state governor, Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Usani Usani, the Minister of State, Niger Delta Affairs, Prof Claudius Daramola, and Sen. Victor Udoma, Chairman, Niger Delta Development Commission.
