Some very fast thinking doctors have brought a newborn baby back to life after the boy spent six minutes without a pulse.

Paramedics put a breathing mask on the tot after discovering he had no pulse

Photos have shown the truly incredible moment a newborn baby let out his first cry as medics brought him back to life after six minutes without a pulse.

According to The Sun UK, paramedics faced a heart-wrenching race against time to bring baby Yasin back to life just moments after his home birth.

His dad, Mohammad, is seen watching helplessly in the doorway of the bedroom in Coventry as West Midlands Ambulance service medics Simon Lees and Chelsie Kennedy attempt to get the tot's heart started using their thumbs.

After six minutes an eerie silence breaks out into gasps as relief as Yasin begins to scream.

The spine-tingling footage was filmed as part of More4's new documentary series '999: On the Front Line'.

Chelsie tells the programme: "It's one of the best things I have ever heard, I couldn't believe it. What is the chance of getting a baby back after six minutes?

"After three minutes your brain is starved of oxygen. The chances of survival become a lot less.

"There's a small suction unit in the maternity pack, that you have to suck on to clear the baby's mouth and airway."

Paramedics wrapped the baby in a towel after he let out a cry

Simon added: "You're waiting for that initial cough, that snort, that cry anything."

The dramatic moment is followed by touching scenes as the baby is wrapped in a blanket and Chelsie and Simon cut the umbilical chord.

Four months after the birth, Yasin is said to be thriving and healthy.

On the Front Line follows the paramedics and technicians of the West Midlands Ambulance Service.

The first programme airs tonight on More4 at 9pm.
