Recall that TORI News had reported on Tuesday evening that an ethnic violence erupted in Oyigbo, a town very close to Port Harcourt in Rivers state, where a Mosque was burnt down while properties were destroyed as commercial activities were also shutdown.

It was gathered that the security operatives, who were mainly policemen, also embarked on stop-and-search in order to forestall a repeat of the crisis.
