Some thugs have allegedly beaten up a woman,and smashed her two-year-old baby against the floor, killing the toddler.

A group of heartless thugs reportedly assaulted a woman named Beatrice physically, and to add salt to injury, they threw her two year old toddler on the floor, killing the toddler.
This awry incident took place at Bajare Camp in the Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State. According to witnesses, the thugs were acting on the orders on a middle-aged woman identified as Toyin after a brawl between both parties.
The disagreement led to a physical confrontation between Beatrice and Toyin. Toyin left the scene of the fight and returned with fierce thugs to help mete out severe beatings to Beatrice.
“During the scuffle, the baby boy, who was strapped to his mother’s back was smashed against the floor by one of the thugs, leading to his death,” said a witness.
It was gathered that the thugs immediately fled the area, while the toddler was rushed to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the state, Mr. Wole Ogodo, explained that the mother of the baby reported the matter at the police station, saying the suspect and her thugs had been arrested.
Ogodo said investigation had commenced into the matter, adding that the suspects would be charged to court as soon as the police finished their probe. It was gathered that the remains of the deceased had been deposited at the Alade Idanre General Hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
