Manchester United Boss, Louis Van Gaal, has expressed optimism that his men are capable of winning the coveted UEFA Champions League trophy despite the fact that they have not been in the most impressive form this season.
The Old Trafford team is yet to concede a goal in the EPL after three games this season.
Van Gaal insists that despite the fact that his attackers are yet to blend, the defenders have been very outstanding.
He said: “Until now, of course, our defensive organisation. I divide football into four main moments and we have two moments where the opponent has the ball and then we are at our best, I think.
“We proved that last year and now we are continuing with a lot of clean sheets so that is very important. But we have to improve when we have the ball. We have been a little bit unlucky. Liverpool and Arsenal was 0-0 on Monday but you can’t say they didn’t create anything.”
Regarding the Champions League game in Bruges, Van Gaal revealed that the Red Devils are preparing a youthful-squad capable of winning the tournament.
“Yes, I believe in that. I believe more in the mix, than players only from 27 to 34 years old. You have to believe in the youth education.
“When you see Manchester United, and how many young players we have and play, we are starting with Luke Shaw, Memphis Depay, Adnan Januzaj, then Jesse Lingard, Paddy McNair…
