Nigerian ex footballer, Nwankwo Kanu, has given his former boss, Arsene Wenger an advise on how to start winning trophies again.
The former Arsenal player, who enjoyed a good spell at the North London club, including two English Premier League trophies, revealed this in an interview with BBC World Service ahead of Arsenal’s stalemate with Liverpool on Monday.
When a sked whether Arsenal could lift the title this season despite their dismal start to the league which has seen them pick up four points from a maximum nine.
He said: “Yes. It’s all to do with belief and the heart the players have.”
The 39-year-old former Portsmouth forward also added: “When I played there we had a lot of leaders, captains. Every player was a captain. They have to have players who stand up and push the others.
“Arsenal is a big club, without a trophy it will be a let down. If they move in the right direction they will win the league. Why not?”
