Rumours before now circulated that Nigerians graduates observing their National Youth Service Corp programme in Abia State have been ordered to leave within a time frame following a state of unrest in the South-eastern region.

This has forced the NYSC to issue a response dated 20th of September, 2017 as seen below:

"The attention of the NYSC Management in Abia State has been drawn tp the news going round in the social medua among corps memers that the State Coordinator has ordered all corps members serving in Abia state to leave the State on or before 1st of October, 2017.

The general public and indeed all corps members are by this release informed that there was no such directive from the mananement of the scheme.

In view of the above, all corps members are expected to remain at all their places of primary assignment as Abia is safe and calm."
