A 73-year-old septuagenarian Femi Ojomo, on Wednesday pleaded with an Ikorodu Customary Court in Lagos to dissolve his 15-year-old marriage to his third wife to enable him marry another woman.

Ojomo, a businessman, who resides at Billy Way, Ojomo Avenue, Irawo, Ikorodu in Lagos, also accused his wife of infidelity and being troublesome.

He told the court that he no longer loved his third wife and urged the court to dissolve the union to enable him bring home another woman.

“My wife is very troublesome and volatile in nature. She bore a child for another man, although she left the man and later moved in with me.

“But now I don’t want her anymore, I want to marry another wife,” he said.

In her response, the 42-year-old wife, Shola, amidst tears also told the court that her husband was irresponsible.

“My husband has not been responsible for my upkeep since I married him. I went to marry another man just because he had refused to feed me and the only child I had for him.

“My husband usually brings and sleeps with another woman in our apartment.
“I am also not interested in this marriage anymore after all he had not been responsible for my upkeep,” she said.

However, President of the court, Mrs Funmi Adeola, scolded Ojomo for bringing in and sleeping with another woman in the apartment where his wife lives.

She adjourned the case till Sept. 28, for judgement.
