The governor made this observation when the Chairman, Governing Board of Federal University, Kashere (FUK) in Gombe, Mr Gbenga Daniel, paid him a courtesy call on Wednesday in Gombe.

He said for this reason, his administration intended establishing a University of Science and Technology, to produce the needed manpower that would conduct the research.

“We are thinking of establishing a second University of Science and Technology."

“We have a natural location and we will do our best to ensure that before the end of this tenure, we establish one. We will have to develop our kind of manpower that will be interested in research."

University is about research; to find out why we do not have water one kilometre below the surface of the earth in Gombe.
