TORI News reported earlier today that Argentina international striker, Sergio Aguero could face two months out with broken ribs after the Manchester City star was involved in a car crash in Amsterdam on Thursday evening.

While speaking in an exclusive interview with radio station, Radio Metro on Friday, the striker says he was travelling to the airport following a concert in the Dutch capital when the driver of his taxi skidded into a post adding that he broke a rib in the car accident yesterday night.

The Argentina striker and a friend had been guests at a Maluma concert in the Dutch capital and were heading back to the airport when their driver lost control of the vehicle and was taken to hospital in Amsterdam.

He said;  "The driver did not see the curve and skidded. When we were skidding we hit a post.

"I've broken a rib, now I'm resting. It hurts a lot but I'll soon be discharged."
Manchester City later released a statement ahead of their trip to the champions Chelsea on Saturday.

"Sergio Aguero will be assessed by Club doctors today after being involved in a road accident on Thursday. The City forward was in Holland on his day off and has sustained injuries.

"He will return to Manchester this morning and his status will be checked ahead of tomorrow's Premier League clash at Chelsea," the statement read.
