Some social media users have been left disappointed by the quality of cake presented to President Muhammadu Buhari during his courtesy visit to the theatre of war during the independence day celebration.

A Twitter user, Demola Olarewaju has exposed the quality of cake used in the celebration of Nigeria's 57th independence day in Maiduguri, Borno State.
Buhari who spent quality time admonishing the soldiers to keep up the tempo of war against the Boko Haram sect was presented with a cake with the national colours of Nigeria as part of Nigeria's 57th birthday.
The pictures showed that the cake was compressing even before the ceremonial cutting was done.
"Hundreds of exquisite bakers in Nigeria but this is what makes it to the top. Pictorial evidence that we're not fielding our best squad" Demola posted as he shared the worrying pictures.
Meanwhile, a supportive social media user stood behind President Buhari whom he described as a modest leader.
"It shows you cannot satisfy humans, Buhari has always been modest and will forever remain modest. If the cake is made of gold and diamonds; the same people will complain of too much money spent on a cake and cry corruption. Carry on sir. What an innocent man Buhari is"
