IPOB which has been tagged a terrorist group has reiterated that there will be no election in Anambra State as earlier stated by their leader, Nnamdi Kanu.

The outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra on Sunday insisted that the November 18 governorship poll in Anambra State should be boycotted.
It ordered its members and other “freedom fighters” in the area to stay at home on the election day.
A statement made available to a Punch correspondent in Awka, Anambra State, by the group’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, said the success of a boycott of the Anambra poll would make a huge statement to the international community on the seriousness of the Biafran agitation.
The statement read in part, “We the Indigenous People of Biafra and its leadership worldwide under the command of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu wish to bring to the attention of IPOB members in Biafraland, particularly those in Anambra State, that the November 18, 2017 governorship election is the day of destiny for all lovers of freedom.
“Every genuine Biafran desiring freedom for Biafra from this Islamic bondage of Hausa-Fulani caliphate called Nigeria must not only stay at home on that day, but must also make sure those around them do not vote. November 18, 2017 is a date with history.
“If we Biafrans succeed in demonstrating before international observers that we are serious about our freedom by locking down Anambra State on that day, the world will be in no doubt that Biafra is unstoppable.”
It added, “Our destiny is firmly in our hands. We must teach corrupt Igbo politicians that money cannot buy IPOB because we are a special breed untainted by the corrupt tendencies of the Nigerian politics.”
He stated that the election boycott was the only tool left to pursue their goal, adding that the need for the boycott had been further underscored by the confusion surrounding the whereabouts of their leader.
