A court in the United Kingdom has ordered a jealous woman to pay huge compensation after she destroyed a neighbour's car thinking it belonged to her cheating boyfriend.

A woman got herself in serious trouble after trashing what she thought was her cheating boyfriend’s car in a drunken rage — only to discover it belonged to a stranger. The sad incident landed her in court, according to

The woman identified as Christine Ann Potten, 38, also tore off the rear windscreen wiper and a door trim and kicked off the driver’s mirror. She stopped when a neighbour woken by the 1am din opened his window and shouted: “That’s not your boyfriend’s car.”
The car she destroyed
Potten staggered to a house where she was staying in Yeovil but left a trail of blood after cutting herself, Somerset magistrates were told. When police arrived she answered the door with her finger dripping blood and told them: “I’m a naughty girl aren’t I?”
Potten, of Sturminster Newton, Dorset, was given a six-month conditional discharge and ordered to pay the car’s owner, Anita Meek, £336 compensation by the court.
