The Senate has decided to wield into the controversial reinstatement of wanted former Chairman of the Presidential Taskforce on Pension, Abdulrasheed Maina by setting up a committee to investigate the matter.

The Senate on Tuesday set up an ad hoc committee to investigate the former Chairman of the Presidential Taskforce on Pension, Abdulrasheed Maina who was indicted in a fraud case by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
The resolution was made after its sitting on Tuesday presided by Senate President Bukola Saraki.
The Senate mandated the Committee on Public Service and Establishment investigate how Maina got into the country. How he was reinstated into Public Service and how Maina got promoted to the level of Director in the civil service.
