Kano State Assembly Urges Government to Establish School of Nursing

Rabiu Gwarzo said that the school would be affiliated to Bayero University Kano (BUK) as an awarding degree institution in Nursing.

Members of Kano State House Assembly, have urged the state government to establish School of Nursing at Gwarzo Local Government Area. This plea was the outcome of a motion of public importance raised by Alhaji Rabiu Gwarzo, representing Gwarzo constituency.
 
In his motion, Gwarzo recalled that the motion for the establishment of the school had initially been brought before the house in 2005. 
 
He noted that if established, the school would enhance health care delivery to the constituents. He said that the school would be affiliated to Bayero University Kano (BUK) as an awarding degree institution in Nursing.

"The state government has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the university on the establishment of the school."

"I call on the government to revisit the MOU,” Gwarzo said.
 
In a related development, Alhaji Baffa Danagundi, representing Kano Municipal Area, has called on the government to reconstruct the road linking BUK road to Sharada Juma’at Mosque.
