Mercedes G-Wagon Allegedly Belonging to Gov. Fayose Burns Down in Lagos (Photos)

Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose's white Mercedes Benz G-Wagon has reportedly burnt down in the commercial city of Lagos.

A white Mercedes Benz G-Wagon worth millions of Naira which allegedly belongs to the Ekiti state governor, Ayodele Fayose, reportedly burnt down in Lagos on Tuesday.
 
According to a report by DailyTrust, Lere Olayinka, the Governor's Special Assistant on Public Communications and New Media, revealed that the SUV caught fire while on motion to the airport but the governor was not in the vehicle.

Olayinka who disclosed that no casualty was recorded and that the cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, said the governor expressed his gratitude to the people who helped control the situation.
“No casualty recorded. Cause of the fire not ascertained yet,” he said in a telephone chat.
 
Speaking further, he said “There was an accident involving the governor’s vehicle on his way to the airport yesterday. Though he was meant to be in the vehicle, by providence, he was not there.
 
 
“What caused the sudden fire under the vehicle is yet to be ascertained,” he added.
 
The 2017 Mercedes-Benz G-Class ($122,400) is the most expensive SUV in its class.
 
At the current exchange rate of $1 to N359, the SUV will cost N43, 941, 600 (Forty three million, nine hundred and forty one thousand and six hundred naira only).
