An alleged fraudster has been thrown into prison for defrauder a job seeker the sum of N120,000 in Delta state.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission yesterday, November 1, 2017 arraigned Duwa Ighosiohwonoja Clever on a 14 count charge bordering on intent to defraud, obtaining under false pretence and forgery. He was arraigned before Justice Emmanuel A. Abile of the Federal High Court sitting in Warri, Delta State.
He was alleged to have induced Ekhorutomwen Iyobosa into paying the sum of One hundred and two thousand naira (N120,000) only into his account under the pretence that he has secured employment slot meant for his community in Delta State.
The suspect pleaded not guilty to all the charges. The judge after listening to both counsels adjourned the trial to November 30, 2017 and ordered that the accused be remanded in federal prison Okere, Delta State.
