Family and friends of a female graduate who was mistakenly killed by a vigilante couldn't hold back tears as she was committed to mother earth.
The late Uloko Lawrenta Apaume
A female graduate of Auchi Polytechnic, Uloko Lawrenta Apaume who was killed after she was hit by a stray bullet fired from a Vigilante’s gun has been buried amid tears.
Apaume died after the landlord of her hostel invited vigilante officers to provide security for HND students who graduated from the school, but something went wrong as the vigilantes celebrating with them began shooting in the air, in the process, Apaume was hit by a stray bullet leading to her untimely death.
The late Apaume has been described as an easy-going person who was looking forward to serve her compulsory National Youths Service Corps (NYSC) programme with great expectation.
Apaume was buried as family and friends gathered to pay their last respect. The Edo State Police Command has launched investigation into the death of the deceased.
