It was widely reported yesterday that there was a mild drama in the Ebonyi State government as Terry G, Denrele, and a host of other stars that were in the State for an event were ejected from their hotel in Abakaliki.

At a press conference in Abakaliki on Tuesday, Ebonyi State Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Mrs Euphemila Nwali, the State Government has denied reports that guest artistes that performed at the Homecoming of Ebonyi Stars on August 28 were ejected from their hotel rooms.

“The artistes never at any time spoke with any state official on any matter regarding their accommodation throughout their stay in the state. Nothing could be farther from the truth.

The guests artistes, Terry- G, Denrele and their crew were received in Ebonyi on August 27, 2015 with pumps and ceremony by youths and officials of the State Ministry of Culture and Tourism.

They were thereafter taken to the hotels reserved for them, where they stayed till the August 31 and departed on September 1 – from the same hotels where they were reported to have been evicted.”

There had been reports that the artistes, Terry-G and Grace Amah, as well as Denrele, were evicted from their hotel rooms.
