Governor Gives N200,000 to Pregnant Labourer Mixing Concrete, Tells Her To Go Home

A pregnant labourer has been rescued by the Governor of Ebonyi state after he saw her mixing concrete at an uncompleted building.

Mrs. Gloria Nwankwo was given N200,000 and asked to go home by the Governor
 
Governor Dave Umahi of Ebonyi state has put a smile on the face of a pregnant labourer he saw after a chance encounter with her while inspecting the ongoing mushroom farm project in Abakaliki, Ebonyi State.
 
The woman identified as Gloria Nwankwo, was among the labourers mixing concrete. He walked to the expectant mother, and ordered her to go home, adding that her condition was not good for such tasking job.
 
 
He also made an instant donation of N200 ,000 to her to start any business of her choice to enable her take care of her unborn child.
