IDPs in Abuja Protest Poor Living Condition (Photos)

The peaceful protest held on Wednesday, September 2, 2015, at the headquarters of the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC) in Abuja.

 
A group of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Abuja have launched a protest to show their disapproval of the poor living conditions in the camps where they are being housed.

Many Nigerians have spoken out on the harsh conditions in the camps and photos showing IDPs being served poor food with shovels also emerged on social media.
 
Officials in the camps have also been severally accused of embezzling funds and stealing supplies meant for the displaced persons.
 
The group seemed to have had enough, so they took to the streets to protest their inhumane condition.
