Gunmen Kidnap Ebonyi Chief Medical Director

The spate of insecurity in Nigeria has been exposed again with the daring kidnap of a medical director in the South-eastern part of Nigeria.

The Chief Medical Director of the Federal Medical Centre, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Dr Emeka Onwe Ogah and one of his Administrative officers has been kidnapped by unknown gunmen.
 
The medical Director was returning to Ebonyi state from Abuja, when the incident took place.
 
The Commissioner of Police in Ebonyi State, Mr Titus Lamorde who confirmed the incident to newsmen on Friday said it occurred on Thursday, November 16 in Kogi State.
 
He said the driver of the vehicle was shot while the CMD and his administrative officer were abducted in the process.
 
Lamorde said security operatives in both states are already putting immediate measures in place to rescue the victims alive and arrest the culprits as soon as possible.
 
He, however, appealed to the public to furnish security operatives with meaningful information that will lead to the rescue of the victims.
