BREAKING News: Amosun's Commissioner Resigns

The Ogun State Commissioner for Commerce and industry has reportedly tendered his resignation letter to the Governor of the state.

Otunba Bimbo Ashiru, the Ogun State Commissioner for Commerce and industry has resigned his appointment from the cabinet of Governor Ibikunle Amosun of Ogun State, TheIndependent has reported.
 
It is alleged the action might not be unconnected with the governorship ambition of the Commissioner.
 
He reportedly tendered his resignation letter on Friday. Ashiru, on Wednesday, emerged the consensus candidate of Ijebu/Remo axis of the state under the All Progressives Congress, APC.
 
It was gathered from a source close to the government house that Amosun was unhappy with the move by the Commissioner.
 
Governor Amosun, it was gathered, expressed his unhappiness during the weekly State Executive Council meeting at the exco chambers.
The source hinted that the governor might not accept the resignation letter as stakeholders have reportedly initiated moves to settle the differences between the governor and the commissioner
