After his highly publicized controversial furious spot-kick row with Neymar, Edinson Cavani has finally revealed who will take PSG's penalties

Following the controversial discussion between the two players over who would take a penalty against Lyon in September, Edinson Cavani has confirmed that Neymar will take Paris Saint-Germain's next spot-kick.

It was an issue which threatened to derail the Parisian club's campaign.

Neymar arrived as the most expensive player in football history and it was naturally assumed he would be put on set pieces.

Cavani had other ideas and took the ball from the Brazilian against Lyon, however, following Saturday's 4-1 victory over Nantes, the former Napoli forward made clear that a decision had been made on the official penalty taker.

"Neymar will take the next penalty," he explained in the mixed zone.

Despite the headlines the saga took, it appears as though Unai Emery made a conscious decision to select the former Barcelona star to fulfil this role.

Unfortunately it appears as though the relationship between the two players is damaged, with Cavani confirming as much on Saturday.

"Neymar is successful and knows how to face pressure," he explained.

"We don't need to be friends. We will help each other on the pitch."

PSG host Celtic on Wednesday as they return to Champions League action.
