The fight against insurgency seems to be gaining results as the Army has announced the cutting off of food supply routes of Boko Haram and the destruction of a bomb making factory

Another landmark has been reached by the Nigerian Army after the acting Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Sani Usman, announced that troops have cut the food supply route of the terrorists.

He said they have been incapacitated, because they will not be able to launch attacks without enough food supply. He also added that the Nigerian military is making progress, in the fight against Boko Haram.

The Army spokesperson also thanked members of the public for helping the troops, by providing useful security information.

According to Sun Newspapers, Usman said “The bombardment of identified Boko Haram terrorists’ location, close air support, air surveillance and interdiction by the Nigerian Air Force have enhanced our operational efficiency and success."

Adding that "The Nigerian Air Force were equally involved in the supply of essential items, casualty evacuation as well as equipment and weaponry delivery."

The Nigerian Army recently destroyed a bomb making factory in Borno state.
