Re-elected Governor of Anambra State Willie Obiano has received his certificate of return after his landslide victory in Saturday’s governorship election.

Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra State has received his certificate of return from the Independent National Electoral Commission, following his victory in the Saturday’s governorship poll.
Obiano, who was re-elected governor in the election, received the certificate of return from the State Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dr Nkwachukwu Orji, at INEC’s headquarters in the state capital, Akwa.
In presenting the certificate of return to the governor, the Resident Electoral Commissioner urged the governor to live up to expectations and continue to develop the state.
According to him, INEC has played its part by conducting the election and it is now up to the governor to increase the value of votes by keeping his campaign promises.
Mr Obiano had arrived at the INEC headquarters around 10 am in company with his wife, the Deputy Governor Dr Nkem Okeke, and many of his supporters and top officials.
The former Nationa Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance and Chairman of the Willie Obiano Re-election Committee, Victor Umeh, and several traditional rulers and party chieftains were also at the INEC headquarters to witness the event.
