A Police officer who reportedly got himself drunk, has lost his AK-47 rifle with 30 rounds of ammunition in a Prostitutes den while on duty with his team in Lagos.

According to a report, a Police Inspector attached to Area 'F' Command in Ikeja, Lagos state has reportedly lost his weapons after visiting a brothel in the area. Report states that the shameless officer got himself drunk and lost his AK-47 rifle with 30 rounds of ammunition, while on duty with his team in the area.
Vanguard reports that the Inspector, who had told his colleagues that he was going to eat and also use the opportunity to repair the patrol van, allegedly got back drunk without the gun and ammunition, and he was asked the whereabouts of his gun, the officer explained that someone took it while he was sleeping inside the vehicle in the station.
Further investigation by his team mates revealed that the police inspector was seen at Ipodo area of Ikeja, notorious for harbouring criminals, and was heavily drunk when the incident happened, as another source alleged that he probably engaged one of the commercial sex workers in the area, and the gun must have been removed while he was at it.
He has since been arrested and detained at the state command, as efforts are ongoing by police authorities to recover the gun.
