A gang of armed robbers recently caused pandemonium in a Niger State community after they stormed there to attack banks in the area.

A dangerous gang of armed robbers have stormed a branch of UBA in Lapai, Niger state on Wednesday. They ended up killing two police officers and a banker.
According to PoliticsNGR, the robbers successfully broke into the bank and reportedly carted away huge sums of money.
It was gathered that the robbers attacked UBA bank along Suleja road just beside Kobo Campus of IBB University before attacking First Bank along Minna road.
It was learnt that the criminals gained entry into the town through Lapai-Gulu road in two cars.They kidnapped the manager of First Bank.
The attack on both banks lasted over an hour. They carted away cash in big bags and escaped through Lapai-Paiko road.
A team of soldiers and police officers chased down the robbers but so far no arrest has been announced.
