A heartless mother who had finished negotiating with some buyers to sell her twin babies has been arrested by the police.

Policemen in Katsina state have arrested a 30-year-old woman identified as Salima Lawal of Marabar Kankara in Malumfashi LGA while trying to sell her twin babies for N350,000.
According to the state commissioner of Police, Besen Gwana, the arrest was on a tip-off by a well meaning Nigerian. The command has commenced investigation into the matter.
Salima in a chat with newsmen confessed to the act but failed to give any reason behind the purported plan.
However a police source confided in our reporter that during investigation it was discovered that Salima is divorced from her husband whom she had another 2 year old son for.
She told a team on investigations that her husband one Yusuf Abdullahi a commercial motor rider had abandoned her which forced her to act the way she did.
“But when accosted the supposed husband Abdullahi denied abandoning her that they were divorced two years ago”, the source said
