A gang of assailants have kidnapped the Bishop of Gwagwalada Diocese, Abuja, Bishop Moses Tabwaye, at Onicha-Ugbo-Ewohimi Road, Edo State.
The Bishop of Gwagwalada Diocese in Abuja, Bishop Moses Tabwaye, has been reportedly abducted by kidnappers at Onicha-Ugbo-Ewohimi Road in Edo State, while he was travelling to Onitsha from Abuja.
Celestina Kalu, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, who confirmed the kidnap of the clergyman, said in a statement yesterday that police were on the trail of the kidnappers. She said the kidnappers of Bishop Tabwaye left behind his ash-coloured Toyota Highlander SUV with number plates GWA 842 SJ.
The Police spokesperson disclosed that the Safer Highway patrol team recovered the bishop’s vehicle on the said Onitsha-Ugbo-Ewohimi Road, while on duty tour.
The abduction of the Bishop is currently being investigated by the police.
