An embittered driver named Mr Danie Usman has been nabbed by the police after he angrily ran away with his boss's Hyundai SUV based on the feeling that he was marginalised.
The driver who works for a Chinese construction company in Ekiti State confessed to the police that he drove the vehicle out of the company's premises in Ado Ekiti with the intention of taking it down to Abuja to sell it off.
Usman revealed he resorted to the action of stealing after his immediate boss refused to compensate him for the dirty jobs he had done for him at the expense of the Chinese company. Usman was nabbed while traveling with the vehicle.
The Commissioner of Police Mr Esosa Amadasun explained saying: “The driver said the idea of selling the jeep came to him as a last option when he demanded from his master N500,000 to buy a small car but he gave him only N300,000 instead.That was why he was in Lagos with the car where he was offered N1m. He changed his mind to go to Abuja for a better offer before his arrest by our team near Jebba Bridge.”
