Drama As Man Accuses His Own Brother Of Kidnapping His Child In Nasarawa

A man has accused his own brother of kidnapping his child in a Nasarawa State community, dragging the man to the police.

According to Punch Metro, a man has accused his brother of being responsible for the disappearance of his child, saying a herbalist told him so.
 
As a result, his brother sued him, saying he has defamed him.
 
The Police in Nasarawa State on Monday arraigned 45-year-old Yahaya Tanko in a Masaka Upper Area Court for alleged defamation of character.
 
The defendant, who resides at Angwan Gada Masaka, is standing trial on one count of defamation before Mr. Yabuku Ishaku.
 
The prosecutor, Frank Swem, told the court that the defendent’s brother, Musa, reported the matter at Divisional Police Headquarters in Masaka on December 12.
 
Swem said the defendant had accused the complainant of stealing his missing child, hinging his accusation on claims by a herbalist.
 
The prosecutor said the offence contravened Section 392 of the Penal Code.
 
The defendant, however, pleaded not guilty and was granted bail by the judge in the sum of N100,000, with a surety in like sum.
 
Ishaku said the surety must reside within the court’s jurisdiction and must deposit two passport photographs.
 
He adjourned the case till January 8 for hearing.
