Unknown gunmen have attacked the residence of Malam Gambo Makama, Chief of Numana in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State burning it to ashes.

The Chief of Numana in Sanga Local Government Area of Kaduna State, Malam Gambo Makama, and his wife have been killed by unknown gunmen.
The sad incident took place on Sunday at his residence at Gwantu town, according to reports. The hoodlums also burnt down his residence leaving one of the chief's son injured.
Confirming the story, the Police Public Relations Officer in the state, ASP Mukhtar Hussaini Aliyu said the Police Command had received the report of the attack around midnight on Sunday but said that the assailants had fled before the police arrived the scene, hence no arrest had been made.
He appealed for calm as the command was doing everything possible to get to the root of the matter. However, the sad incident has now thrown the residents of Gwantu town and its environs into state of mourning.
