Men of the Nigerian Army have been spotted in their numbers on the Island, particularly securing the street leading to the international embassies in Lagos.

Soldiers are currently at Walter Carrington Crescent, where the American, British, Indian, France, German, Spain, Lebanon and so many other embassies are located.

To this end, there is heavy traffic currently  on Ozumba Mbadiwe which is the road leading to the street, as vehicles are prohibited from plying that road for now, fresh reports reveal.

Although men of the Nigerian Army have not disclosed the reason for their presence at that spot, commuters and passersby speaking in hush tones are speculating a boko haram threat.
