A local vigilante has found himself in serious trouble after he was attacked by Benue youths during a clash with Hausa community.

A vigilante member is currently recuperating after he tried to settle a bloody clash between the Hausa community and some youths in the Wadata area of Makurdi, Benue state on Saturday, January 13.
It was gathered that the head of the security personnel was broken as he was left bloodied by his attackers during the bloody clash. He was later forced to the hospital.
It was gathered that violence started after a Fulani man was hit and killed by a vehicle.
Some youths were reportedly injured as they clashed over the incident. Following the mass burial of farmers killed by herdsmen on January 1, there has been increased tension between the locals and the Hausa community in Benue.
