Horror: 10 Dead, Many Injured As Fire Guts Gas Plant In Lagos

A fire outbreak at a gas plant in a Lagos community, has reportedly left as many as ten persons dead, with many others injured.

It has been reported that gas tanks at the Second Coming gas station in the Magodo area of Lagos exploded on Monday resulting in an inferno.
 
According to Channels Television, at least 10 persons have died in the inferno.
 
The inferno, which was triggered by a spark from a car at the station, has already spread to surrounding buildings.
 
The gas plant is located on CMD Road, opposite Magodo Brooks Estate.
 
Operatives of the Lagos State Fire Service, Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Federal Road Safety Corps and the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA) are currently at the scene.
 
Bisi Kazeem, FRSC spokesman, has advised motorists to take alternative routes, saying the extent of damage is unknown at the moment.
