All roads leading to the palace of the prominent Oba Oniru in the Lekki area of Lagos, has been blocked as Olori Aramide Oniru, the first wife of the monarch celebrates her 70th birthday.

The wife of prominent Lagos monarch, Oba Abiodun Idowu Oniru is celebrating her 70th birthday today. Olori Aramide Oniru is the Oba's first wife and has been married to the monarch for 51 years since she was about 19 years old.
According to reports, the celebration kicked off with a Thanksgiving Service at St. John’s Church. The grand reception is currently taking place at Oba Oniru’s palace in Oniru, Victoria Island, Lagos.
Olori Aramide Oniru is the Olori Iya Abiye of the Reformed Ogboni Fraternity. She is a highly successful businesswoman and highly revered in the society. Top dignitaries from all walks of life are reportedly in attendance. The N100,000 lace aso-ebi picked for the celebration was said to have been over-subscribed.
