A Nigerian man who reportedly lied about his genotype to his wife, has abandoned his three sickle celled children at the hospital, after the wife found out they are both AS.

A Nigerian Twitter user identified simply as Juicy J (@juiciestofjays), has taken to the social networking platform to reveal how a man who had lied to his wife about his genotype when they got married, has abandoned his children to their fate.
According to Juicy J, the unidentified man who is AS and had deceived his wife who is also AS into thinking his genotype is AA, has reportedly abandoned his wife and three sickled celled children at a hospital in Gbagada, Lagos state.
While narrating the story online, the poster wrote: "This man lied to his wife who’s AS (& barely educated) that he was AA when he’s really AS.
"Now their 3 kids are SS & the man is nowhere to be found, leaving the mother to take care of the three kids with sickle cell anaemia. They’re always in the hospital, it’s so sad."
Some Nigerians on Twitter advised the mother of the three children to call the attention of sickle cell non-governmental organisations in Nigeria in other to get help for her kids, while others advised women to always take precautions when getting married.
