Argentine football star, Lionel Messi has added two-time dad to his long list of honours, after his girlfriend gave birth to a son,Mateo, on Friday, September 9, in Barcelona.

27-year old Three-Time FIFA World Best Player, Lionel Messi, has today welcomed into the world his second child with long-time partner, Antonella Roccuzzo. The newborn, named - 'Mateo', was born in Barcelona.
Messi was absent from training due to 'family matters' this morning as Miss Roccuzzo went into labour with their second child.

Lionel Messi's brother wrote on Twitter; "Mateo has just been born, he is beautiful. We’re savouring this moment of happiness."
Messi and Rocuzzo have been together since 2008, but have known each other since the Argentina captain was just five years old. They have a son, Thiago, who was born on November 2, 2012.
