The reelection campaign of President Muhammadu Buhari took a life of its own on Wednesday as Minister of Communication wore a Buhari 2nd term campaign cap to the FEC meeting.
Adebayo Shittu wearing 'Buhari Support' cap
The minister of communications, Adebayo Shittu, was pictured at the weekly federal executive council meeting at the presidential villa on Wednesday, wearing in support of the second term bid of President Muhammadu Buhari, and also distributed some to the ministers in attendance.
According to TheCable, Shittu who is chairman of Muhammadu Buhari/Osinbajo Support Group, came to the FEC meeting along with a bag full of caps which had the inscription: ‘Continuity ’19: Muhammadu Buhari/Osinbajo’.
It was gathered that shortly before the commencement of the meeting presided over by the president, the minister handed over the bag to the council’s secretariat staff members who are saddled with the responsibility of distributing council documents and other items to members.
The caps were reportedly part of the souvenirs given to those who attended the inauguration of the campaign office of President Buhari in Ibadan, Oyo state capital.
Shittu is eyeing the governorship seat and this has created a feud between him and Abiola Ajimobi, the incumbent governor.
