According to a report by Metro UK, a baby girl was mauled to death by stray dogs after she was reportedly left in the care of her five-year-old brother.
The girl, Riya Sahu was caught on CCTV crawling outside of her home in the Anupam Nagar area of Raipur, India, when the incident took place.
The 14-month-old’s death was filmed as two dogs attacked her.
A police spokesman said locals saw the incident and quickly rushed over to help. Despite successfully driving the animals away, the little girl suffered fatal injuries.
She was taken to a local hospital, however was pronounced dead on arrival. Local media said Riya had been left at home with only her brother, five, to take care of her.
Her unnamed mother and father Horilal Sahu, a labourer, were reportedly at work at the time.
The family moved to the area around six months ago. It is not believed the parents will face any action.
