Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has revealed why President Muhammadu Buhari is not talking about seeking reelection in 2019.

Nigeria's vice president, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has said on Thursday that President Muhammadu Buhari is focused on delivering on promises made for his current term rather than thinking about the next election, though President Buhari, has not publicly said whether he will contest the February 2019 election.
While speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Osinbajo, said:
“The president is focused on this term. He wants to ensure that he delivers on the promises that were made. He is not talking about 2019,” Reuters quoted the Vice President as saying.
In an interview with CNBC, Osinbajo outlined a number of road and rail projects which the administration is working on and a social program to support the unemployed in Nigeria, Africa’s most populous nation.
Osinbajo's comment is coming at a time when former President, Olusegun Obasanjo advised President Buhari not to re-contest again in 2019 due to his inability to govern Nigeria.
Obasanjo’s advise was contained in a statement he issued on Tuesday titled “The Way Out: A Clarion Call for Coalition for Nigeria Movement.”
