2019: Ex House of Reps Speaker, Dimeji Bankole Joins ADP, Father Becomes BoT Chairman

A former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Dimeji Bankole, has joined the Action Democratic Party (ADP) during an inauguration tagged, "Operation Take Nigeria Back."

 
The Action Democratic Party (ADP) has announced the father of a former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Chief Alani Bankole, as the Chairman of its Board of Trustees (BoT).
 
Chief Bankole, yesterday, attended the inauguration of three committees which was performed by the ADP National Chairman, Engr. Yusuf Yabaji Sani, at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja.
 
The former Speaker of the lower chamber, Dimeji Bankole, is a member of National Contact and Mobilisation Committee of ADP, headed by Senator Roland Owie.
 
The remaining two newly inaugurated committees are National Committee on Polling Units Establishment and National Committee on Establishment of Party Secretariat.
 
The former speaker’s father, in an interview with journalists, confirmed that his son, Dimeji, was now a chieftain of the newly established party.
 
The ADP National Chairman, Engr. Sani, who spoke during the inauguration of the committees, said the step was taken as part of “Operation Take Nigeria Back.”
 
Sani said it was part of the measures being taken by the ADP to not only rescue and build Nigeria, but also give the citizens sense of direction.
