Dutch Football Club Speaks On Alleged Sacking Of Sunday Oliseh

Fortuna Sittard, a football club in Sittard, The Netherlands which currently plays its football in the 12,500 capacity Fortuna Sittard Stadion and features in the Dutch Eerste Divisie has denied axing a former Super Eagles coach and player, Sunday Oliseh.

The Sittard outfit have dropped to the third spot after two consecutive defeats thereby putting the club management under fire.
 
The recent poor performances by the club aggravated rumours that the team coach, Sunday Oliseh might have been shown the exit door to give fresh managerial hands a try.
 
Meanwhile, Fortuna Sittard refuted the rumours making the round that they have sacked their manager, Sunday Oliseh.
 
The Dutch side lost their last two games against Dordrecht and Emmen which saw them drop to the third spot in the Eerste Divisie.
 
However, the side have clarified that their Nigerian tactician has not been relieved of his job.
 
“Today, various media reports appeared about the position of head coach, Sunday Oliseh,” a statement on the club website read.
 
“Fortuna Sittard, however, denies the news about the dismissal of the head coach.”
 
Oliseh will be expected to lead the team for their next league tie against Volendam on February 2.
