Shocking! Anambra Police Uncover Beggars Who Make N25,000 Daily Using Abducted Children

It is the end of the road for some beggars who have been using abducted children to make N25,000 daily from begging.

 
 
The police in Anambra State on Tuesday arrested two suspects who allegedly used abducted children for alms begging in Onitsha to make N25,000 daily from the act.
 
The two suspects identified as Friday Edet and Ezekiel Ubong, both from Akwa Ibom State had since been detained at the Onitsha prisons, claimed to be members of a humanitarian group.
 
They confessed that they made N25,000 daily by parading children with different kinds of ailment and using them for alms begging.
 
They were arrested by the Fegge division of the Nigeria Police Force. Confirming the story, the Fegge Divisional Police Officer, Mr. Rabiu Garba said the suspects were notorious for using abducted children for alms begging in locations different from their states after inflicting injuries and ailments on them to attract public sympathy.
 
Garba said six boys with hernia, as well as a three-year-old girl with cancer of the lips, who were abducted by the suspects, had been rescued and reunited with their families.
