In Lagos and many parts of Nigeria, Ram fighting has been a tradition since immemorial as it serves as an entertainment and sports to local residents witnessing the fights and the winning rams take home their prizes and trophies as well.
A CNN reporter, Christian Purefoy, who came to Lagos Nigeria recently and witnessed how ram fighting has become a great way of making money and getting huge gifts, especially when your ram is strong and can fight well, has showcased the sport to the world.
He reported that the ram owners even go all the way to give names to their rams which includes Cristiano Ronaldo, Boko Haram, Shomolu and more.
