A monitor lizard which innocently left its abode was denied its right to return and continue its life by Nigerian youths who considered it as a high source of protein.

The monitor lizard here was killed by some Nigerian youths after a vicious chase.
The reptile was being processed for an alluring pepper soup as at the time of filing this report. Rodents and other reptiles might be extinct with the rate at which Nigerians are consuming them.
